Dear Heavenly Father,

I know that this life will bring disappointments. I know that placing others on a pedestal and completely trusting in them only sets me up to be disappointed. Father, let me not place people so high up there, that I am losing sight of You, for like me, they aren’t perfect. I will place my trust completely in You, for You are my everything, and You won’t ever let me down. Father, You are my protector, my shield in this life, and I know that I can face any situation or difficulty because You are always with me, and You never leave me. I pray to follow the path that is so lit before me and may I overcome any let downs that may be tossed my way, just as Jesus overcame this world.
